Malta is lake country.

One of the largest lakes in eastern New York - Saratoga Lake - is located in Malta. The Lake offers many opportunities for recreation, sailing, rowing, outstanding bass fishing, water-skiing, ice fishing, and boating. A public boat launch at the north end of the Lake and several private marinas provide ready access to the boating enthusiast.

Saratoga Lake is 8 ½ miles long and as much as 1 ½ miles wide. The deepest spot is 96 feet.

Why not take a sunset ride along beautiful Saratoga Lake. From Route 9 in Malta, take Route 9P east 2 miles. Along the southern shore of the Lake you will find overlooks, marinas, a beach and several restaurants.
